Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 248

I woke up but didn\'t get out of the bed, instead, I kept lying there and thinking. I had four months of undisrupted hunting in the canyon, which would give me 120 class points. Combined with what I already had would put me at 182. Almost enough to get two unlocked classes of the second tier.

Then a thought struck me. I forgot to check what class I got for killing the orc boss. I immediately got out of bed, and went to the bathhouse, and then to the cafeteria. Cleaned up, and with a full belly, I stood in line to use the device. It took me several minutes, but eventually, my time came.

I put my hand on it and started searching. I found it pretty quickly. Dreadnought. I immediately bought it for ten class points.

The class had four skills: \'Incredible strength\', \'Incredible endurance\', \'Toughness\', \'Vitality\'. I upgraded all of them to the fourth level.

My body underwent some changes, as I felt the surge of energy coming through my body, but this time it wasn\'t painful, although still uncomfortable.

Then my line of thought, which I lost when I remembered about the class, returned to me. I had to strike the iron when it still was hot. I needed to get myself as many class points as I possibly could. Evolving my Shadow soldier class, and Shadow walker should become my priority since both of them already proven to be incredibly useful. Especially when I was already so close.

I went straight to Hatta, but I didn\'t find him in his office. According to guards, he was visiting the armory with Brutus Sinclair, better known as the old man. I had no idea where that was, and if I knew before, I had already forgotten, but they told me where to go, so I did.

They were in a dusty room, filled with weapons and armor just put in some old crates. There was very little space there, because of the amount of stuff packed there. I caught them in the middle of counting some equipment.

- May I have a moment? - I asked immediately, looking at Hatta.

Brutus just smiled at me. I nodded with respect.

- Sure - said Hatta. - Should I step put, or...?

- No. I just wanted to tell you that I\'m going back to the canyon. For longer this time though.

- How long? - he asked with surprise painted all over his face.

- Two months, but after returning I\'ll head out back almost immediately for another two.

- May I ask why? -  now he seemed concerned.

- Several reasons. Blue wants to move there, so I would have to find another spot, as Will and the rest are now hunting bears. We need to be prepared for another invasion. Who knows what might come next time, and there is also exploring the wastelands part.

He sighed and shook his head.

- Do what you want, but that\'s crazy... Your hunting schedule already was, but two months? That\'s just...

- Crazy times require crazy efforts to survive.

He just waved his hand at me and turned back to Brutus. I left them, to gather my carts, and wait in the city center for the rest of the hunters to just leave. It was a nice day, like any in this place. Crowds of people occupied the device, some were walking around, mainly the craftsmen.

Waiting took some time. Enough for Will to show up, and notice me leaning on the side of one of the vehicles.

- What the heck? Are you already going back? - he seemed surprised.

- Yep, and this time for longer.

- Longer? What do you mean by longer?

- Two months. Then return to resupply, and another two.

- Are you crazy? - now he was just shocked. - That\'s too long. You need a break, man.

- No. I need to work harder. Everything seems to be working our way, so we should accelerate. Expand.

- Peter! Listen to yourself. You are already hunting almost every day. Doing more is just nuts.

- Do you want to see your son?

- What?

- Answer me. Do you want to see your son?

- Of course, I do.

- Then we need to work harder, expand, upgrade. Then we will rest after the work is done. I\'m not saying you should exhaust yourself. Kep your own tempo, but don\'t slow me down.

- You are going mad, Peter...

- Maybe. Every genius at some point was called mad by others.

He snorted.

- Ok. Calm your ego down.

- I know you are worried, Will, but I\'ll be fine.

He shook his head.

- Do whatever you want man, just know, it\'s crazy...

And he left me, heading straight to the pub. I probably made him want to have a drink, even this early.

I waited some more, and finally, other hunters left, so I could occupy the device for quite a bit, and fill my carts with provisions. I tried to pick the food that wouldn\'t spoil easily. I also brought wine and beer instead of water. When my carts got filled, I started heading out to the canyon.

When I reached the goblin cave Ki\'rei was nowhere to be seen. Instead, I encountered a bunch of people murdering the goblin guards right next to the entrance to the dungeon. I passed by them and kept walking. I needed to keep up a fast pace if I wanted to reach my destination before dark.

She didn\'t show up all the way to the cliff. I tried to look for her, but she probably wasn\'t even around, so I just started to set up my camp. Then I finally ate, because before there was no time, and I actually wasn\'t that hungry - surprisingly. Maybe that had something to do with my new skills.

I spend some time, looking at the night sky, and tree crowns, slowly moved by a gentle wind. Accompanied by the rustle of the leaves.

The day came to an end with 46 494 705 points remaining on my account, and sixty-two class points.
