Chapter 76 Xuna Vs Fornol Empress (Part 2)

"I\'m Xuna, the enemy you can never hope to defeat."

Hearing the opponent convey with a light chuckle irritated Feleokruna, so much so that she seethed in anger. But an instant later, she calmed herself, glaring at the opponent to shout, "Your horn is pretty."

"I would love to make a necklace out of it."

"I was looking for a wig myself, but…" Xuna shook her head, sighing in response, "But yours is too ugly. Never mind, I\'ll just use a cheap hair dye. That\'s better."

"This bitch!" Feleokruna aimed at Xuna and unleashed a laser beam, impacting her location to melt through the sand, creating a puddle of lava.

Xuna was in the air now, relying on a rocket to evade the laser beam. Her left hand held the rocket while in her right was her gun in its canon form. She aimed at Feleokruna and shot a cannonball.

"Kyak!" Feleokruna was surprised at the attack as she leaped to the side, evading the attack as a wave of sand fell on her, burying her underneath.

She hurriedly surfaced and looked at the deep, five-metre-wide crater before her, flinching as goosebumps formed on her skin, noticing another cannon ball fly at her.

She aimed a laser beam at the cannonball, melting through it rapidly before leaping to the side. It wasn\'t fully melted through despite being in contact with her laser for more than two seconds.

It was enough proof that Xuna\'s ability was stronger than hers. That was indeed the case as Xuna was at Stage 5 while Feleokruna had only recently attained Stage 4. There was a vast chasm of strength difference between the two.

Bzzz!

Dozens of Hoil Bees flew at Xuna, intending to apply pressure on her so that Feleokruna would have an easier time fighting.

Brrrrr!

Xuna changed her cannon into the assault form, spraying hundreds of bullets in a matter of seconds, riddling the Hoil Bees with fist-sized holes, causing them to collapse in droves.

"What the?" Feleokruna was shocked, hurriedly attacking Xuna with her laser. Only then did the other party pause mowing down the Hoil Bees and focus on defending herself.

A Spageon moved high up in the sky, reaching its max altitude before diving down at terrifying speeds, accelerating to its top speed, even exceeding it to result in a suicidal attack as it aimed for Xuna.

"Shit!" Xuna was alarmed, looking up when her forehead pricked, noticing the Spageon racing straight at her. It was already too late to evade as her only option was to change her gun to its canon form and shoot at the bird, rupturing its body into a sea of blood that splattered everywhere, with some of it falling on her too.

Normally in this situation, they would have fallen on her eyes too. But in her case, they coincidentally missed her eyes, preventing Xuna from falling into a defensive position as she raised her altitude.

She then began to free fall, changing her rocket too into assault form, spraying bullets from both the guns as a Hoil Bee met its end every second.

She proceeded to spray bullets without concerning herself with Nacre expenditure, attacking in all directions.

Feleokruna burned a hole through the sand and jumped into it to avoid any stray bullets from impacting her. Fornol Sunflower would only unlock its defensive capability at Stage 5. So until then, she was only left with an offensive nature.

Therefore, Feleokruna couldn\'t risk herself, for even a single bullet could harm her severely, and if it hit her head, could end up killing her too.

Xuna\'s bullets packed a punch enough to penetrate through the Hoil Bee\'s exoskeleton armour. They would obliterate her feeble human body.

Boom!

Feleokruna melted through the sand, creating underground tunnels, surfacing from time to time as she unleashed her laser beams at Xuna, forcing the opponent to defend herself.

Within a few minutes, dozens of holes had now appeared on the desert ground as Feleokruna popped out from them randomly. And every time she appeared, Xuna retaliated with a canon attack. If she didn\'t predict where her opponent would pop out from, a laser beam would impact her.

She would be forced to rely upon the rope of her grappling hook to form a shield to tank the laser beam. She wasted a lot of Nacre every time to heal the damage sustained by the burnt rope.

If Xuna predicted her opponent\'s actions, the moment Feleokruna tried to unleash a laser beam, she would come face to face with a cannonball. And in such cases, she had to focus the beams from both her palms onto the canon ball and slow it enough so that she could use the fraction of a second bought from this to evade.

Their battle turned into high-stakes whack-a-mole.

While their fight was progressing, Luncress controlled a dozen Hoil Bees to surround Yihan, beginning to attack him immediately.

Upon seeing his West Guardian form, Luncress felt his heart skip a beat, \'It\'s damn similar to my Hoil Bee.\'

"But…" He muttered in shock upon seeing Yihan move about fluidly, "It\'s superior in all aspects."

His Hoil Bees had yet to attain the perfect form he wished for. It would take a few more years and multiple generations to evolve into that. In contrast, Yihan\'s form was perfect from the start.

After all, the West Guardian Beast was something like a spirit whose powers were harnessed by all those in the West Guardian Village. And as a result, through their bond, it was capable of evolving over time, embracing a form more perfect for their use.

Both the villagers and the West Guardian Beast lived depending on each other, and hence, they both grew and evolved accordingly.

Hence, when Luncress stared at Yihan\'s West Guardian form, he was startled, to say the least. It felt like all his work meant nothing, for here it was, the perfect form he was striving for, wielded by the enemy.

Horned Humans only began to appear a month after he became a Blight Human. This meant that someone took his research efforts, surpassed him by miles, and perfected it, all while he was proceeding at a snail\'s pace, despite being in the lead at the start.

That fact slammed into him, taking a mental toll on him. Moreover, his Hoil Bees were unable to gain an advantage over Yihan who danced through the air, wielding his scythe blades to hack into his less flexible opponents.

Moreover, after a glance, Yihan took advantage of the weak points of the Hoil Bees, targeting them in such a way that they injured themselves.

After all, the scythes of the Hoil Bees had chances of piercing their abdomen or clipping their wings if they weren\'t careful, due to the way they were positioned. Just this was a big weakness that Yihan took advantage of.

And every time he took advantage of a weakness of theirs, it was like he was poking at Luncress\' wounds, as if he was slapping him vividly.

His West Guardian form was sourced from the Hoil Bee. And as the creator of the Hoil Bees, Luncress was able to sense the same qualities between the two.

"Dammit!" He was vexed, failing to kill a mere Stage 2 Horned Human.

"Dad, I\'ll take care of him. You help her majesty." Lortwik interrupted upon noticing that Luncress was giving in to his emotions and only resulting in the needless loss of the Hoil Bees.

"Sorry." He muttered before retracting the Hoil Bees, forcing them on Xuna instead.

Lortwik controlled the female Spageons to swarm Yihan, intending to tire him out. He didn\'t care if too many Spageons died. There were enough unhatched eggs back home anyway. He could easily replenish their numbers in a month.

"Huff…" Yihan exhaled loudly, feeling pangs of body aches as he continued to hack and slash the Spageons. It wasn\'t as easy as his opponents made it seem. His Nacre reserves were running low already, for he had been relying upon his regeneration to keep up with the injuries sustained from the Hoil Bees.

There was a drove of them against him. Therefore, no matter how careful he was or how cunningly he positioned himself, he was still injured.

"Die!" He shouted as his scythe blade severed a Spageon into two, flapping his wings to evade a suicidal charge from another as he leaped onto a Spageon, plunging the scythe blade into its head, leaving it there upon seeing it break.

He was just about to pull out another scythe blade from his armour when he noticed a glint from the holes on the ground farther away, his face paling in response as he jumped behind the corpse of the Spageon he had just killed, pulling out a shield from his armour.

Boom!

A laser beam slammed into the Spageon, piercing through its body before impacting his shields, the intense heat causing him to sweat buckets immediately as it melted through his shields. He felt his hands burning before the beam flickered, dispersing in an instant to result in an explosion that enveloped him.

"Yihan!" Xuna shouted in alarm, watching the sea of flames envelop Yihan. She rushed at the sea of flames, grunting in annoyance as Feleokruna used the chance to target her, showering her with a laser beam.

"Dammit!"
